ROB HOTAKAINEN

Rob joined E&E News in 2017 to cover national parks and oceans after working for McClatchy’s Washington Bureau and Minneapolis’ Star Tribune in Washington, D.C., for nearly two decades. Rob was named Washington’s top regional reporter in 2010, winning the David Lynch Prize for Regional Reporting for his work covering California issues. While at McClatchy, he also covered trade and regional issues in Washington state, Missouri, Kansas and Idaho.
